Our titled HTML and CSS: Mastering the Basics of Flexbox was held on May 9, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Room 519 in Gordon College. It was organized by our team, Squad, as part of our advocacy to share knowledge and develop front-end web development skills among fellow students. The speaker was Mr. Raven Andre Legarde, a 4th-year BSIT student who discussed the fundamentals of Flexbox, a CSS layout model used to design responsive and flexible web pages. The event was free for all attendees, and registration was done through a QR code system. The seminar included a live demonstration of how Flexbox works and how it can be used to align, justify, and order elements in a webpage layout. The webinar titled "Introduction to Linux" was successfully hosted and organized by Structure Squad, composed of Information Technology Education students. It was held on April 27, 2025, via Google Meet. The session featured Mr. Kenneth Mobo as the resource speaker, who thoroughly discussed the fundamentals of the Linux operating system. He also introduced Kali Linux, a popular Linux distribution used in cybersecurity and penetration testing. The event was attended by IT students and tech enthusiasts eager to gain foundational knowledge about Linux and its applications in the real world. The webinar titled "Basics of PHP" was successfully organized by our team, Structure Squad, and conducted on December 6, 2024, through Google Meet and simultaneously broadcasted via Facebook Live. Our guest speaker, Mr. Diether Llenares, shared his expertise on the fundamental concepts of PHP. Our industry visit took place on May 5, 2025, at Wistron Infocomm (Philippines) located at 4 Rizal Highway Corner Aim High Avenue, Subic Bay Industrial Park Phase 1, Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Olongapo City. Wistron is a big electronics manufacturing company that started in Taipei, Taiwan in 2001. It used to be part of Acer Inc. before becoming its own company.   The industry visit to SFD Drafting Solutions Process was conducted at Outsourcing Inc., located at 2749 Rizal Avenue, West Bajac-Bajac, Olongapo City. The visit provided an in-depth overview of the company’s workflow in the field of steel detailing, handling projects sourced primarily from Australia. We were introduced to the tools used in their daily operations, such as AutoCAD, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Microsoft Office , along with essential hardware like NAS storage, i5 computers, laser printers, and cloud platforms like Dropbox. The GC CCS Tech Fest 2025 was held as a dual-purpose event—a platform for technological learning and a fundraising initiative. It aimed to provide students and the community with exposure to emerging technologies, insights into technology-driven careers, and opportunities to connect with professionals in the field. The event featured project showcases, discussions, competitions, and an e-sports tournament.
