THE GC CCS TECHFEST 2025

The GC CCS Tech Fest 2025 was held as a dual-purpose event—a platform for technological learning and a fundraising initiative. It aimed to provide students and the community with exposure to emerging technologies, insights into technology-driven careers, and opportunities to connect with professionals in the field. The event featured project showcases, discussions, competitions, and an e-sports tournament. One of its key goals was to raise funds for the renovation of Room 507 in the College of Computer Studies, which will soon become the GC CCS iMac Laboratory.

I. DETAILS OF THE EVENT/ACTIVITY

  • The GC CCS Tech Fest 2025 was held as a dual-purpose event—a platform for technological learning and a fundraising initiative. It aimed to provide students and the community with exposure to emerging technologies, insights into technology-driven careers, and opportunities to connect with professionals in the field. The event featured project showcases, discussions, competitions, and an e-sports tournament. One of its key goals was to raise funds for the renovation of Room 507 in the College of Computer Studies, which will soon become the GC CCS iMac Laboratory.
    I was assigned to the registration role at the entrance, assisting in managing participant check-ins and ensuring an organized flow of attendees throughout the event.

IIREFLECTIONS ON THE SEMINAR/ACTIVITY GIVE RISE TO (LEARNINGS)

  • The event highlighted the value of technology in today’s educational and professional landscape. Through various interactive sessions and exhibits, I learned about the current trends in tech, including practical uses of modern tools and platforms. The experience also emphasized the importance of teamwork, planning, and community participation in achieving shared goals.


III. REFLECTIONS ON POSSIBILITIES ON IMPLEMENTING SOME OF THE SEMINAR INPUT ON A PRACTICAL LEVEL (PRACTICAL APPLICATION OF LEARNINGS)

  • The ideas and insights gained from the event can be applied in academic projects, student-led tech initiatives, and personal development. The exposure to actual student projects and tech demonstrations inspired practical application of coding, design, and problem-solving skills in real-world settings. The event also reinforced how organization and collaboration are essential in planning and executing successful tech-driven activities.


IV. POSITIVE FEEDBACKS

  • Participants appreciated the interactive format of the event, especially the student project showcases, hands-on sessions, and e-sports competitions. The blend of education and entertainment kept attendees engaged. The overall organization of the event, including smooth registration, effective program flow, and strong community involvement, received positive remarks.

V. SUGGESTIONS FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO BE MADE/CONSIDER FOR FUTURE ACTIVITIES

  • Suggestions for future activities include allotting more time for student project presentations to allow deeper discussions, improving venue signage for easier navigation, providing feedback forms to gather attendee insights, and adding more interactive booths or live demonstrations to enhance hands-on engagement.
