Creating Artistic Effects in Adobe Photoshop

I attended a 2-hour session on Adobe Creative Week 2024 by MIMAROPA on October 12, 2024, via Zoom and Facebook Live. The topic was "Creating Artistic Effects in Adobe Photoshop," presented by Ms. Chardane Martinez, an Adobe Community Expert.

I learned techniques for enhancing images using Photoshop, such as layer blending and filters. These skills will improve my future design projects. The session was clear and engaging, but more interactive activities could improve hands-on learning.

Screenshots and an e-certificate were provided for the session.

       I.          Details of the event/ activity 

  • I attended a 2-hour session on Adobe Creative Week 2024 by the Multimedia Arts Association of the Philippines - MIMAROPA with the topic "Creating Artistic Effects in Adobe Photoshop" on October 12, 2024 via Zoom and Facebook Live. The speaker was Ms. Chardane Martinez, an Adobe Community Expert / Certified Professional Creative Educator / Digital Designer from JCI Taytay.

 

     II.          Reflections on the webinar/ activity give rise to (learnings)

  • The webinar taught me how to create artistic effects in Adobe Photoshop. I learned how to use filters, blending modes, and layer styles to make designs look more professional. Ms. Chardane Martinez explained everything clearly, making it easier to understand Photoshop's tools. The session also showed how to add textures and lighting effects to images, which will help in my future design projects.

 

    III.          Reflections on possibilities on implementing some of the webinar input on a practical level (practical application of learnings)

  • I can apply what I learned to my personal design projects, like creating social media graphics or digital art. The skills I gained will also help if I decide to do freelance design work, as I now know how to create eye-catching designs using Photoshop.

   IV.          Positive Feedback

  • The webinar was really helpful, and Ms. Chardane Martinez did an amazing job explaining the Photoshop tools. The session was well-organized, and I enjoyed learning new techniques that I can use in my own designs.

 

     V.          Suggestions for Improvements to Consider for Future Activities

  • It would be great if there was more time for hands-on practice so we could try out the techniques in real time. Also, having a downloadable guide of the steps would be helpful for reference later.
